Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Construction Manager Apprentice to join our dynamic team for an immediate start in Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Construction Managers and Project Managers in daily operational tasks and project coordination.
- Learn and apply project planning, scheduling, and budgeting techniques.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and progress meetings, taking detailed notes and contributing to discussions.
- Help maintain project documentation, including permits, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of site safety procedures and quality control standards.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams as directed.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Shadow senior staff to understand effective problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe construction site.
- Undertake specific training modules and certifications relevant to construction management.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid G-class driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all site regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment or completion of a construction-related college program or vocational training.
- Previous experience in a construction-related role (e.g., general labourer, administrative assistant on a construction site).
- Familiarity with construction terminology and basic blueprints.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
