Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks.
- Perform general labour duties, including moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris, waste, and hazards.
- Load and unload construction materials, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, following strict safety guidelines.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prepare work areas for construction, including site setup and basic demolition tasks.
- Support site supervisors and team members in daily operations, adapting to changing priorities.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and experienced tradespersons.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and communication.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any prior experience with manual labour or outdoor work is an asset, but not required.
