Key Responsibilities
- Perform various manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and general site cleanup.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) as required.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload construction materials, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and work platforms.
- Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including grading and excavation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Inspect work areas and equipment for potential hazards and report them promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of common construction tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding and commitment to construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a desire to contribute.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., skid steers, forklifts, excavators).
- Basic carpentry, masonry, concrete finishing, or other specialized trade skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale residential construction projects.
