Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages on designated routes within London.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes using navigation tools and personal knowledge to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Obtain necessary signatures and complete delivery documentation accurately using handheld devices.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and recipients regarding delivery status or any issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Represent Hiring.zycto professionally and provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B or equivalent)
- Clean driving record with no major endorsements for the past 3 years
- Proven ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and maps
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical stamina to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg)
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Customer service-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or similar role
- Good geographical knowledge of London roads and areas, particularly Central London
- Experience with handheld delivery devices and logistics software
