Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Courier Driver to join our growing team in Heath, Cardiff. As a Courier Driver, you will be the face of Hiring.zycto on the roads, responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of packages and goods across designated local routes within Heath, Cardiff, and the surrounding areas. Your day will begin with loading your vehicle, carefully planning your route for optimal efficiency, and then heading out to meet our valued customers. You’ll be entrusted with handling various types of packages, from important documents to consumer goods, ensuring each item reaches its destination in perfect condition and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries within Heath, Cardiff, and surrounding areas.
- Efficiently load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Plan and navigate delivery routes using GPS and local geographical knowledge to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and driving regulations.
- Handle cash or card payments securely, if required, for C.O.D. deliveries.
- Sort and organise packages for optimal route efficiency before commencing deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery updates or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Cardiff and surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg safely.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly self-motivated.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for documentation and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a courier or delivery driver.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and delivery management software.
- Proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends, if business needs require.
