Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely and safe pick-ups and deliveries of various items, including packages, documents, and small goods, to specified locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries to ensure punctuality and maintain service standards.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, recipients, and senders regarding delivery status and any unforeseen issues.
- Ensure the integrity and security of all items during transit, handling them with care.
- Operate vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Complete delivery logs, obtain necessary signatures, and process payment (if applicable) accurately.
- Conduct pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions, representing Hiring.zycto professionally.
- Adapt to varying delivery schedules and adjust routes as needed based on demand or traffic conditions.
Required Skills
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle (car, van, or motorcycle) with valid insurance and registration.
- Excellent knowledge of Toronto's geography and major routes, especially Mount Pleasant East and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with GPS devices and smartphone applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in a similar transportation role.
- Experience using navigation and delivery management software.
- Familiarity with local traffic patterns and alternative routes.
