Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Credit Counselor to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guiding individuals and families towards greater financial health and stability. Working entirely from your home office, you will provide confidential, one-on-one counseling sessions to clients facing various financial challenges, including debt management, budgeting, and credit repair. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial assessments with clients via virtual platforms, analyzing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Develop personalized debt management plans, budgeting strategies, and credit improvement strategies tailored to each client's unique situation and goals.
  • Educate clients on financial literacy topics, including responsible credit usage, savings strategies, debt consolidation, and bankruptcy alternatives.
  • Provide non-judgmental support and guidance, empowering clients to make informed financial decisions and take proactive steps towards their financial well-being.
  • Monitor client progress, conduct follow-up sessions, and adjust financial plans as necessary to ensure continued success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Stay informed about current financial trends, credit laws, and available resources to provide the most up-to-date and effective advice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refer clients to additional support services when appropriate.
  • Utilize various digital communication tools (video conferencing, secure messaging) to deliver high-quality remote counseling services.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in credit counseling, financial advising, or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and empathetically.
  • Strong active listening skills and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal finance, budgeting, credit reports, debt management strategies, and consumer protection laws.
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and video conferencing platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing a diverse caseload remotely.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain high ethical standards.
  • A dedicated, private workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Credit Counselor Certification (e.g., from AFCC, FICM, or similar recognized body).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using CRM software for client management.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French is an asset for serving diverse Canadian clientele).
