Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead our remote security operations team. In an increasingly complex digital world, your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our assets, data, and client trust. As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and enforcing our cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our security landscape, from threat detection and incident response to compliance and risk management. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while being an integral part of our dynamic team, collaborating virtually with stakeholders across various departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a remote team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Oversee all aspects of security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CCPA), and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify security gaps, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the selection, implementation, and optimization of security technologies and tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IAM, firewalls).
  • Collaborate with IT, development, and business units to integrate security best practices into all projects and processes.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs for all employees.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance our security posture.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security performance, incidents, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
  • Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and application security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with security information and event management (SIEM), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Strong incident response and disaster recovery planning capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a remote team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic security roadmaps.
  • Proficiency in risk management methodologies and security assessment techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry or a consulting environment.
