Job Description

This role is for a dedicated and experienced Database Administrator with a strong focus on SQL Server environments, robust backup strategies, and performance optimization. As a pivotal member of our IT operations team at Hiring.zycto, you will be responsible for the health, stability, and efficiency of our critical database systems. Your expertise will directly influence our ability to process vast amounts of data, ensure business continuity, and support our application infrastructure with high availability. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our most valuable asset: our data.

You will manage and maintain all aspects of our SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security. This involves routine maintenance tasks, patching, upgrades, and ensuring database availability through high-availability solutions like AlwaysOn Availability Groups or clustering. A significant part of your role will involve developing and implementing comprehensive backup and recovery plans, performing regular data integrity checks, and ensuring compliance with our data retention policies and regulatory requirements. Proactive identification and resolution of database performance bottlenecks will be key. This includes expert-level query tuning, index optimization, execution plan analysis, and server configuration adjustments to guarantee optimal performance for our demanding applications and reporting systems. You’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing robust monitoring solutions to catch potential issues before they impact services.

Collaboration is central to our team’s success. You will work closely with developers to optimize application queries, guide schema design, and provide expert advice on database architecture for new features and projects. Furthermore, you will partner with system administrators on server hardware configurations and network considerations, and with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions. Your insights will be invaluable in guiding best practices for data management, contributing to strategic infrastructure planning, and evaluating new database technologies. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, possesses a meticulous eye for detail, is highly organized, and is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity, security, and system uptime. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact on our core operations, directly contributing to our success and growing your career within a dynamic, challenging, and supportive environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.
