Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for timely delivery of goods.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery, utilizing navigation tools.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Verify contents against shipping documents and obtain customer signatures where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and maintain its cleanliness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role for at least 12 months.
- Excellent knowledge of local geography and road networks in and around Fleetwood, Surrey.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient routes.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) comfortably and safely.
- A professional, customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills for positive interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with handheld delivery devices or logistics software for route optimization.
- Previous experience working for a fast-paced logistics or e-commerce company.
- Clean driving record with no accidents or major violations in the last 3 years.
