Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort packages, parcels, and mail according to designated routes, delivery areas, and distribution codes.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Verify package contents against manifests or scanning systems to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the sorting facility.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) after receiving appropriate training.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure workplace.
- Report any damaged packages, missing items, or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and scanning.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational schedules.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
