Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our thriving practice located steps from the beautiful Kitsilano Beach. We are a patient-centric clinic dedicated to delivering top-tier dental services in a comfortable, friendly, and modern environment. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play an indispensable role in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent chairside assistance, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize and set up instruments, and ensure all necessary equipment is available for procedures.
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, and cosmetic treatments.
- Perform preliminary patient assessments, including taking and developing digital X-rays.
- Provide clear and compassionate pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charting and treatment notes.
- Manage infection control protocols strictly according to provincial guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, proper brushing/flossing techniques, and post-treatment care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new stock as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage confirmations.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
Required Skills
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in British Columbia.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Abeldent, Open Dental).
- Excellent knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take and process digital radiographs.
- Up-to-date CPR certification.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with iTero or similar intraoral scanners.
- Knowledge of extended duties permitted for CDAs in BC (e.g., coronal polishing, fluoride application).
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Experience in a multi-specialty dental practice.
