Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists during various dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Comfort and prepare patients for treatment, explaining procedures and answering questions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (with proper training and certification, if applicable).
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as pouring models or fabricating temporary crowns under supervision.
- Record patient information, medical history, and treatment notes accurately.
- Assist with front office duties occasionally, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
- Order and maintain dental supplies inventory.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and ensure their comfort before departure.
