Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Perform a wide range of general dental procedures, including restorations (fillings, crowns, bridges), extractions, endodontic treatments (root canals), and prosthodontics.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
- Provide preventive dental care, including prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with the latest advancements in dental science and technology.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the Province of Ontario.
- Excellent clinical proficiency across all aspects of general dentistry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- A patient-focused approach, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and digital radiography.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice setting.
