Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Full-Time DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tecumseh, Windsor. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless software delivery and robust system performance. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure as code, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and comprehensive monitoring solutions. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, and system administration best practices, focusing on enhancing the agility and reliability of our services.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development, QA, and product teams to streamline our software development lifecycle from commit to production. Your contributions will involve optimizing build processes, managing release cycles, and ensuring the stability and scalability of our distributed systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability, performance, and operational ease.
- Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer Linux-based servers, ensuring security, patching, and optimal configuration.
- Automate routine operational tasks and develop tools to improve efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response and resolution.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our DevOps practices and tech stack.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the SDLC and infrastructure management.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator).
