Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and maintain containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing and security practices into the CI/CD workflow.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all stages of the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical production systems and incidents.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve our DevOps practices and infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and system administration
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk)
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and load balancers
- Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing
