Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-ray, CT scans, and MRI scans, in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the imaging process, explaining procedures clearly and answering questions.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing daily quality control checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Accurately position patients for optimal image acquisition and adjust technical factors appropriately for desired results.
  • Review images for quality and completeness, ensuring diagnostic accuracy before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintain precise patient records, imaging data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Licensed Diagnostic Imaging Technologist in Quebec (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Proficiency in operating X-ray, CT, and MRI equipment.
  • Strong understanding of imaging physics, anatomy, and pathology.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is highly advantageous given the location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
  • Specialized certification in advanced modalities (e.g., CT, MRI).
  • Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
