Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and portioning of meals and snacks according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Serve meals to residents/clients in dining areas or directly to rooms, providing courteous and timely service.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles).
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and dining areas thoroughly after each meal service.
- Stock and organize food supplies, ensuring proper rotation, inventory management, and minimizing waste.
- Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents/clients, addressing basic needs, responding to inquiries, and reporting any concerns to appropriate nursing or supervisory staff.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
- Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, verifying orders against invoices.
