Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including review of medical history, anthropometric data, dietary intake, and biochemical parameters.
- Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy plans for patients across various clinical conditions and age groups.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families, promoting self-management and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate nutrition care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Document nutritional care accurately and timely in electronic health records, adhering to professional and organizational standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Registered Dietitian (RD) designation with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical dietitian experience, preferably in an acute care or specialized clinic setting
- Thorough knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for various chronic and acute conditions
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice
Preferred Qualifications

- Membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC)
