Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Digital Music Distribution Manager to lead our efforts in bringing artists’ music to global audiences. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire digital distribution lifecycle, from ingestion and metadata management to platform strategy and performance analytics. You will be instrumental in expanding our artists’ reach across all major digital streaming platforms (DSPs) and emerging markets, ensuring optimal visibility, discoverability, and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital distribution strategies across all major DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, etc.) and new platforms.
- Manage the end-to-end digital release process, including metadata submission, asset delivery, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with platform guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze streaming and sales data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize performance and inform future strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at DSPs, aggregators, and other industry partners to maximize promotional opportunities and resolve issues.
- Oversee royalty statements and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of digital revenue, working closely with finance and artist management teams.
- Stay abreast of evolving digital music trends, platform updates, new technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.
- Implement and refine best practices for content management systems, digital rights management, and anti-piracy measures.
- Contribute to the development of artist marketing and promotional campaigns, integrating distribution strategies for maximum impact.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in digital music distribution, artist services, or a related role within the music industry.
- Deep understanding of the digital music ecosystem, including DSP operations, metadata standards, and content delivery best practices.
- Proven track record of managing successful digital music campaigns and maximizing streaming/sales performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
