Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Director of Learning and Development to lead our HR function’s talent growth initiatives. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence across our organization. As the Director of L&D, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with our business objectives and fosters employee engagement, performance, and retention. You will be a key architect in designing innovative programs that address current and future skill gaps, enhance leadership capabilities, and promote a resilient, adaptable workforce.

This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can not only set a vision but also translate it into actionable programs and deliver measurable results. You will champion a data-driven approach to L&D, leveraging insights to refine existing offerings and identify emerging trends in adult learning and talent development. Working closely with senior leadership and departmental heads, you will ensure that our learning initiatives are integrated into the broader talent management framework, supporting career pathways and organizational succession planning. Your expertise will directly influence our ability to innovate, grow, and maintain a competitive edge by cultivating a highly skilled and motivated employee base. You will inspire and mentor a small team of L&D professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring excellence in program delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, long-term L&D strategy aligned with Hiring.zycto's business goals and talent needs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver a range of innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, compliance training, and professional growth workshops.
  • Oversee the entire learning lifecycle, from needs assessment and content creation to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and demonstrating ROI for all programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of L&D specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and department heads to identify specific learning needs and integrate L&D initiatives into broader HR strategies.
  • Select, implement, and manage learning technologies (e.g., LMS, LXP) to optimize learning experiences and administrative efficiency.
  • Establish and report on key L&D metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness, participant engagement, and impact on organizational performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and adult learning theories to continuously innovate our L&D offerings.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic L&D initiatives within a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and talent management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing L&D teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to measure program effectiveness and drive decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., CPHR, CHRP) or L&D specific certifications (e.g., ATD CPLP).
  • Experience with blended learning approaches, e-learning content creation, and gamification strategies.
  • Familiarity with talent assessment tools and 360-degree feedback processes.
