Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Oversee all transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize service levels and costs.
- Implement and leverage advanced logistics technologies (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems) to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.
- Manage logistics budgets, analyze performance metrics, and generate reports for senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant customs regulations, trade compliance laws, and safety standards.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, delays, and quality control issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics processes, focusing on lean methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing diverse teams in a complex environment.
- Expertise in domestic and international transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
