Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Director of Supply Chain – Operations to lead our end-to-end supply chain functions from our Ashbridges Bay, Toronto hub. This pivotal leadership role demands an individual with a proven track record of optimizing complex global supply networks, driving operational excellence, and fostering innovation within a fast-paced environment. As the Director of Supply Chain – Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operational supply chain, including demand planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and supplier relationship management. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Oversee and optimize all operational aspects of the supply chain, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Implement advanced inventory management techniques to reduce carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, identifying and implementing process enhancements and technological solutions.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key suppliers and logistics partners to ensure favorable terms and service levels.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and report progress to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on operations.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management).
- Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in advanced analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
