Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently plan and dispatch delivery and collection routes for a fleet of vehicles.
- Monitor driver progress and location in real-time using GPS and tracking software.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams regarding schedules, delays, and service updates.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, rerouting drivers as necessary to maintain schedules and manage unexpected situations.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery statuses, and driver logs.
- Ensure compliance with all road transport regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Process delivery paperwork, including manifests, proof of delivery, and other relevant documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for dispatch operations and logistics efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to deliveries.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or transport control role.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of London and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
