Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch field technicians for service calls, installations, and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor technician schedules and locations using tracking systems to ensure optimal routing and timely arrival.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, providing detailed work orders, instructions, and support.
- Handle incoming service requests, prioritizing emergencies and assigning resources appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, work orders, and service statuses.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on service appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues or unexpected challenges encountered by field teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Generate daily reports on technician productivity, service completion rates, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination, preferably in telecom or a related field (2+ years).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Geographic familiarity with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), especially Mississauga.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of telecommunications networks, cabling, and equipment.
- Experience with GPS tracking and route optimization software.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
