Key Responsibilities
- Curate and develop dynamic music playlists tailored to specific event themes and audience demographics.
- Perform live DJ sets, demonstrating exceptional mixing, scratching, and beat-matching skills.
- Operate and manage professional sound systems, mixers, turntables/CDJs, and lighting equipment effectively.
- Engage with the audience, responding to requests (where appropriate) and fostering an energetic atmosphere.
- Collaborate with event managers, promoters, and clients to understand event objectives and musical preferences.
- Conduct thorough pre-event sound checks and technical setup, ensuring all equipment is fully functional.
- Maintain an up-to-date music library, regularly incorporating new and relevant tracks and genres.
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and calmly during live performances.
- Adhere to all venue policies, safety regulations, and sound restrictions.
- Contribute to the creative direction and promotion of events, offering innovative ideas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a professional DJ for live events (clubs, private parties, corporate functions).
- Expert proficiency with professional DJ software (e.g., Serato DJ, Rekordbox, Traktor Pro).
- In-depth knowledge of diverse music genres, current trends, and music history.
- Exceptional crowd-reading and audience engagement abilities, with a natural stage presence.
- Strong technical aptitude for operating sound and lighting equipment, including DMX control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and interact with guests.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly in fast-paced, high-energy settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related creative field.
