Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Doctor – GP & Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Walton, Liverpool. As a Doctor – GP & Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical care, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. You will act as a primary point of contact for patients, offering consultations, health screenings, immunisations, and chronic disease management. Beyond general practice, your specialist knowledge will be highly valued, allowing you to contribute to specific clinics, mentor junior staff, and participate in strategic planning for service enhancement within your area of expertise. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct thorough patient consultations, examinations, and health assessments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Utilise specialist knowledge to manage complex medical cases, offer expert opinions, and contribute to relevant clinics.
  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams and external specialists.
  • Participate in preventative health initiatives, health promotion, and patient education programmes.
  • Oversee and interpret diagnostic tests, making appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest medical advancements and best practices.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
  • Mentor and support junior medical staff, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant GMC guidelines, ethical standards, and practice policies.

Required Skills

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a Licence to Practise.
  • Inclusion on the GP Register (CCT or equivalent).
  • Evidence of recent and ongoing specialist training/qualifications (e.g., MRCP, MRCS, MRCGP with extended skills).
  • Proven experience as a GP and in a specialist field within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in clinical IT systems and electronic patient records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical education or supervising trainees.
  • Leadership experience in a primary care or specialist clinic setting.
  • Additional certifications in areas such as minor surgery, family planning, or mental health.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
