Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the efficient and safe loading and unloading of various merchandise.
- Safely handle and transport goods, which may include heavy or fragile items, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Verify the contents of shipments against invoices, manifests, or delivery orders for accuracy.
- Help navigate routes and optimize delivery sequences alongside the driver.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries, providing excellent service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, traffic laws, and operational procedures.
- Report any discrepancies, delivery issues, or damaged goods to the driver or supervisor promptly.
- Assist in collecting signatures or proof of delivery as required, and help maintain accurate delivery records.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong physical stamina, endurance, and comfort with a physically demanding role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Highly reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (or currently working towards one).
- Familiarity with the geography and routes within the Waterloo region.
- Previous experience in a physical labor role, warehousing, or similar environment (even if informal).
- Valid First Aid certification (an asset).
