Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive driving lessons for students of all experience levels, adhering to DVSA standards.
- Prepare students thoroughly for both their theory and practical driving tests.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Instill a strong understanding of road safety, traffic laws, and responsible driving practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student lessons, progress, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all training sessions.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in driving regulations and teaching methodologies.
- Manage and maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the training vehicle.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Valid and current Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of active experience as a qualified Driving Instructor.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate diverse learners.
- Strong understanding of current UK road safety regulations and driving test standards.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learning needs.
- Impeccable driving record with no penalty points.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Instructor qualifications (e.g., ORDIT registered, Grade A ADI).
- Experience with different vehicle types (e.g., automatic, manual).
- Familiarity with Maida Vale and surrounding London test routes.
- Ability to offer evening and weekend lessons.
- First Aid certification.
