Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a motivated and hardworking Drywall Installation Helper to join our dynamic construction team in Foothills, Yuma. As a Drywall Installation Helper, you will be an essential part of our crew, assisting experienced drywall installers with various tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You’ll gain hands-on experience in all phases of drywall installation, from material handling and preparation to finishing touches. We are looking for someone reliable, physically fit, and ready to learn, who can follow instructions meticulously and contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead drywall installers with hanging, taping, and finishing drywall sheets.
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels as instructed by supervisors.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely at job sites.
- Prepare work areas, including setting up scaffolding and ladders, and protecting surfaces.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Mix joint compound and prepare surfaces for taping and texturing.
- Perform general labor tasks as required, supporting the overall project workflow.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50-75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in a similar helper role.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with basic carpentry or framing.
