As a Drywall Installation Helper, you will play a crucial role in preparing sites, assisting experienced installers, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. You will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the primary drywall installation process, from material handling to basic tool operation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead drywall installers with hanging, taping, mudding, and finishing drywall sheets.
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels to specifications using appropriate tools.
- Load, unload, and transport drywall sheets, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
- Prepare work areas, including setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Help with sanding, patching, and texturing walls and ceilings.
- Remove debris and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and challenges.
- Learn and apply new techniques and skills as directed by experienced team members.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in construction.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
