Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to gather content, establish learning objectives, and ensure accuracy.
  • Develop engaging and interactive learning materials, including lesson plans, course outlines, assessments, and multimedia content.
  • Conduct thorough research on educational best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform curriculum design.
  • Review and update existing curricula to ensure relevance, pedagogical effectiveness, and alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for curriculum development initiatives.
  • Facilitate training sessions for educators on new curriculum materials and instructional methodologies.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from learners and instructors to identify areas for improvement and implement iterative enhancements.
  • Ensure all educational materials comply with accessibility standards and foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of educational programs and departmental goals.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in curriculum design and development within an educational or training setting.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles, learning theories, and instructional design models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Exceptional project management skills, including planning, execution, and resource allocation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess curriculum effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and professional development program design.
  • Familiarity with UK educational standards and qualification frameworks.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools or multimedia development software.
  • Certification in instructional design or project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).
