As an Electrical Apprentice with Hiring.zycto, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic crew, working alongside experienced journey-person electricians on diverse projects spanning industrial, commercial, and institutional settings. Your journey will involve hands-on training, learning essential electrical codes, safety protocols, and installation techniques for various electrical systems. From reading blueprints and schematics to assisting with wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting, every day will present new learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist journey-person electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Pull wire, install conduit, and mount electrical components and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
- Prepare and clean up job sites, including loading and unloading materials and tools.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Participate actively in on-the-job training and mentorship programs.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and team efficiency.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Eagerness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions (e.g., heights, confined spaces).
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship electrical program.
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles or prior experience with hand/power tools.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- WHMIS certification.
