Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and Certified Electrician to join our dedicated team in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Red Seal certified professional who is passionate about their craft and committed to delivering superior electrical services. As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for a wide range of electrical tasks, from intricate installations and preventative maintenance to complex troubleshooting and emergency repairs across various commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
Your daily responsibilities will involve interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to ensure precise and compliant electrical installations. You’ll be working with a diverse array of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control systems, and data cabling. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.
- Interpret and execute work based on blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct thorough testing and inspections of electrical systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
- Ensure all work adheres strictly to the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), local bylaws, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, other trades, and clients to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to apprentices as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification in British Columbia
- Minimum 4 years of post-apprenticeship experience as a Certified Electrician
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electrical systems
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols and hazard identification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, VFDs)
- Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout training
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience in commercial and light industrial environments
- Proficiency with various hand and power tools common to the electrical trade
