Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician with expertise in both domestic and industrial wiring to join our dynamic team in Graves Park, Sheffield. This is a critical role for an individual who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and ensuring the highest standards of electrical safety and functionality across diverse environments.

In domestic settings, your work will involve new installations, renovations, consumer unit upgrades, lighting solutions, and fault diagnosis, ensuring homes are safe, efficient, and meet the latest regulatory standards. On the industrial front, your expertise will be challenged by complex electrical systems in commercial and light industrial premises. This includes the installation and maintenance of three-phase power, motor control circuits, machinery wiring, panel building, and intricate fault-finding in high-demand environments. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in both domestic and industrial environments.
- Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and rectification on electrical circuits, equipment, and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Ensure all electrical work strictly complies with BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- Install and connect wiring, consumer units, circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Test electrical systems for continuity, resistance, and proper functionality using appropriate testing equipment.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades, project managers, and clients to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified Electrician, with a strong portfolio in both domestic and industrial settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of domestic and industrial electrical systems, fault finding, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Exceptional fault-finding and diagnostic abilities across a range of electrical challenges.
- Thorough understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and operate as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly to clients and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial control panels.
- First Aid certification.
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
