As an Elevator Mechanic Helper, you will work closely under the direct supervision of experienced Elevator Mechanics, gaining invaluable practical knowledge and hands-on training. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Elevator Mechanics in the installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and shop areas.
- Learn and apply safe work practices, adhering strictly to all company and industry safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform routine tasks such as cleaning components, lubricating parts, and assisting with inspections.
- Observe and learn proper diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques from senior mechanics.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers on job site activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead mechanic or supervisor.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various conditions (heights, confined spaces).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex systems.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid G-Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
