Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and Certified Emissions Tester to join our dedicated team in Montreal, Quebec. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance within the automotive sector. You will operate state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to perform comprehensive emissions testing on a variety of vehicles, ensuring adherence to national and provincial standards. You will be responsible for interpreting complex test results, identifying potential issues, and documenting findings accurately. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive emissions tests on various vehicle types using specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Interpret and analyze complex data from emissions testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document all test results, findings, and maintenance performed.
  • Calibrate and maintain emissions testing equipment to guarantee precision and reliability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot vehicle systems that may contribute to excessive emissions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and, when necessary, external stakeholders regarding test outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest emissions regulations, testing procedures, and automotive technologies.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations for improving vehicle emission performance.

Required Skills

  • Certified Emissions Tester designation/license (e.g., ASE, provincially recognized certification).
  • Proven experience with various emissions testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Solid understanding of automotive systems, engines, and emission control technologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and diagnose complex issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and report generation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in Automotive Technology or a related field.
  • Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models.
