Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and adherence to government financial guidelines.
  • Perform daily ledger entries and assist in the reconciliation of bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records.
  • Prepare and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Support the preparation of basic financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist in data entry and verification, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial inquiries.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Learn and apply public sector financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, general ledger).
