As an Entry Level Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of our essential logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring that goods are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately. Your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of products throughout our facility, from the moment they arrive at our docks to when they are prepared for final distribution. This includes meticulous tasks such as receiving incoming shipments, organizing inventory within designated storage areas, accurately picking and packing orders, and preparing items for outgoing transport. You will work alongside experienced professionals who are not only experts in their field but are also eager to mentor and guide you, helping you master the essential functions of warehouse management and operational best practices. This position offers a hands-on learning experience where you’ll engage with various aspects of our inventory system, strict safety protocols, and state-of-the-art operational procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, weighing, and palletizing.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) under supervision, after appropriate training.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and participate in safety meetings.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English).
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new tasks, and follow instructions diligently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols (e.g., WHMIS) is an asset, but not required as full training will be provided.
- Previous experience in any physical labor role or a manufacturing setting is a plus.
