Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly organised, creative, and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Moor Allerton, Leeds. This pivotal role involves conceptualising, planning, and executing a diverse range of corporate events, including conferences, product launches, gala dinners, and team-building retreats, alongside exquisite private functions such as weddings, milestone celebrations, and bespoke gatherings. You will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, managing every aspect from initial concept development and budget allocation to vendor negotiation, logistical coordination, and on-site event management. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of delivering successful, high-impact events with a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. This role demands a proactive approach, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their event objectives, requirements, and budget for both corporate and private functions.
- Develop innovative event concepts, detailed proposals, and comprehensive presentations that align with client expectations and company standards.
- Manage event budgets meticulously, ensuring cost-effectiveness, tracking expenses, and providing regular financial reports.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with a diverse range of vendors, including venues, caterers, decorators, entertainment, and technical suppliers.
- Create detailed timelines, production schedules, and logistical plans to ensure flawless execution of all event components.
- Oversee all pre-event setup, on-site event management, and post-event breakdown, ensuring smooth operations and swift problem resolution.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations) to ensure cohesive event promotion and operational efficiency.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement to continuously enhance our service offering.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in event planning, with a strong focus on corporate and private events.
- Demonstrable project management skills, capable of handling multiple events simultaneously from conception to completion.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial tracking for large and small-scale events.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, memorable experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).
