Key Responsibilities
- Set up event spaces, including tables, chairs, place settings, and décor according to event specifications and diagrams.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly and courteously.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain cleanliness of serving areas throughout the event.
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup of event spaces post-event, ensuring all equipment is stored properly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other event personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues with professionalism and discretion.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server or banquet server in an events setting.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage service styles.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry (if applicable to event type).
- Serving It Right certification (for alcohol service roles).
