Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an exceptional and visionary Executive Director to lead one of our key non-profit initiatives, based in the vibrant Lambton area of Toronto. This pivotal leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in non-profit management, fundraising, program development, and stakeholder engagement. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing comprehensive strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial stewardship to ensure the successful delivery and expansion of our mission. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust strategic plan that aligns with the non-profit's mission and vision, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Oversee all operational aspects, including program development, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality and impactful services.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team, fostering a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Spearhead comprehensive fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and major gift solicitations to meet financial targets.
  • Manage the non-profit's financial resources, including budget development, oversight, and financial reporting, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, community partners, government agencies, and beneficiaries.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the non-profit, raising its profile and enhancing its reputation within the community and broader sector.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards governing non-profit organizations.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and program expansion, adapting to evolving community needs and sector trends.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors on organizational performance, strategic progress, and financial health.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years in senior leadership roles within the non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and organizational development.
  • Proven track record in successful fundraising, including major gift acquisition and grant management.
  • Exceptional financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and talent development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
  • Deep understanding of the non-profit landscape and governance principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Non-profit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MPA, MA in Non-profit Management).
  • Experience working with diverse communities within the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and fundraising databases.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation.
  • Experience in policy advocacy and government relations.
