Job Description

This role is all about bringing events to life! As an Exhibition Setup Worker with Hiring.zycto, you’ll be at the heart of transforming empty spaces into vibrant, functional exhibition environments across Toronto. We’re specifically looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and aren’t afraid of a bit of physical challenge – no prior experience required! This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to jumpstart your career in the dynamic events industry, offering hands-on training and the chance to develop valuable skills in construction, logistics, and teamwork.

Your typical day will be anything but typical. You’ll work closely with our experienced team to unload trucks filled with diverse exhibition materials, ranging from modular stands and display cases to lighting rigs and flooring. Expect to engage in the physical assembly and dismantling of exhibition booths, often following detailed schematics and under specific time constraints. This isn’t just about lifting and carrying; it’s about precision, problem-solving, and ensuring every element is perfectly placed to create an immersive experience for exhibition visitors. You’ll be handling various tools, learning to secure structures, lay carpets, install graphics, and ensure all components meet safety and aesthetic standards. The role demands adaptability as you’ll be working in different venues across the Oakwood-Vaughan area and wider Toronto, each with its unique setup challenges and timelines. Safety is paramount in all our operations, and you will receive thorough training on best practices and proper equipment handling. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy tangible results from your efforts, and are looking for a role where your hard work directly contributes to exciting public events, then this is the perfect opportunity to grow with a dedicated and supportive team. We value a can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute positively to our collaborative success.

  • Participate in the assembly and dismantling of exhibition booths, display stands, and various event structures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout setup and teardown phases.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

  • Excellent work ethic and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to varying work environments.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, warehouse, landscaping) is a plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on ladders or scissor lifts after training).
  • A valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.

Perks & Benefits

  • Comprehensive on-the-job training and skill development.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a growing company.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
