Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in all phases of the design process, from initial concept to final production.
- Conduct comprehensive trend research and analysis to identify emerging styles, fabrics, and consumer preferences.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings (flats), and mood boards to communicate design concepts.
- Source and select fabrics, trims, and embellishments, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare specification sheets and provide clear instructions for pattern makers and sample room technicians.
- Participate in fitting sessions, taking notes, and assisting with adjustments to ensure proper fit and garment construction.
- Maintain organized design files, samples, and material libraries.
- Collaborate effectively with production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product development.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and sustainable practices in fashion design.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for fashion design.
- Strong sketching and illustration abilities (hand and digital).
- Solid understanding of garment construction, textiles, and design principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
