Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Downtown, Pasadena. Your role will involve extensive travel to client sites, primarily within the US but potentially internationally, to perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial automation equipment and control systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration procedures to ensure optimal system performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Generate detailed service reports, document repairs, and maintain accurate records of service activities.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to resolve customer issues and improve product reliability.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and service tools efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on client sites.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or technical support roles for industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electromechanical systems, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi), HMIs, and motor controls.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%).
  • Eligibility for visa sponsorship (if applicable) and commitment to a long-term career.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Certifications in specific automation platforms (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
