Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and highly creative Film Director to lead our short film and commercial projects. Your day-to-day will involve conceptualising visual styles, directing actors and crew on set, making critical creative decisions, and ensuring the smooth flow of production. You’ll be adept at managing budgets and timelines without compromising on creative integrity or production value. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all creative aspects of short film and commercial productions from concept to completion.
- Develop innovative visual concepts, storyboards, and shot lists that align with project objectives and artistic vision.
- Direct talent (actors, presenters) and crew on set, providing clear guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee pre-production activities, including location scouting, casting, and equipment selection.
- Collaborate with cinematographers, art directors, and other department heads to ensure visual consistency and quality.
- Manage production schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
- Work closely with post-production teams (editors, colourists, sound designers) to achieve the desired final product.
- Ensure all projects adhere to legal and ethical guidelines, including copyright and talent releases.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously elevate production quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Film Director with a strong portfolio in short films and commercial projects.
- Expertise in visual storytelling, cinematography, and directing talent.
- In-depth knowledge of film production processes, equipment, and software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
