Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organisational goals.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to established policies.
  • Formulate, review, and update financial policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team regarding resource allocation, investment opportunities, and risk management.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, statements, and audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and ensure effective capital management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous professional growth.
  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a Finance Director or Head of Finance.
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Demonstrable expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing talent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage).
