Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/ASPE), and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective internal controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
  • Proven experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/ASPE) and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
