As a Fleet Driver, you will be responsible for navigating various routes, adhering to strict delivery schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport goods, packages, or personnel along designated routes and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper upkeep of the assigned company vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, customers, and the public.
- Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adapt to changing road conditions, weather, and traffic patterns to ensure timely arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding route status, delays, or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid State Driver's License (Class D or equivalent for non-CDL operation)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3-5 years
- Proven ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs) as required
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous professional driving or delivery experience (e.g., courier, truck driver, bus driver)
- Familiarity with the Sunrise, Florida, and surrounding South Florida area routes
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
- Customer service experience
