Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily visual inspections of fleet vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including fluid checks, tire pressure monitoring, and bulb replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and repair history.
- Coordinate vehicle movements, ensuring proper parking, staging, and readiness for dispatch.
- Liaise with external service providers for scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
- Manage inventory of fleet supplies, such as spare parts, cleaning materials, and safety equipment.
- Support the scheduling and tracking of vehicle servicing and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe fleet yard and maintenance area.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other operational staff regarding fleet status and availability.
- Identify and report any potential issues or concerns with vehicles or equipment promptly to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, data entry).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
